We provide American Sign Language (ASL) - English interpreting onsite in Windsor - Essex & Chatham - Kent and virtually across Canada.

Rates - On-site and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)

Invoice(s) will be sent within 14 business days of the completion of the appointment(s). Mileage for on-site interpreting rate is based on CRA’s Reasonable Per-Kilometre Allowance, 2023.

Hourly Rate: under 3 hours:

  • $80 per hour, per interpreter, two-hour minimum;

  • Partial hours of interpreting will be rounded up to the next hour;

  • Mileage will be billed door to door at $0.62 per km;

  • Parking costs, if any.

Emergency/Urgent Rate (including hospital, child welfare, police and border services):

  • $125 call-out fee per request;

  • $80 per hour, per interpreter, two-hour minimum;

  • Partial hours of interpreting will be rounded up to the next hour;

  • Mileage will be billed door to door at $0.62 per km;

  • Parking costs, if any.

Half-Day Rate: 3-5 hours (workshops, conferences, events and/or training):

  • $400 per interpreter;

  • Includes time for the interpreters to prepare and review materials (please see the Quality Assurance section for more information);

  • Mileage will be billed door to door at $0.62 per km;

  • Parking costs, if any;

  • If meals are being provided for the participants, meals must be provided for the interpreting team.

Full-Day Rate: 5-8 hours (workshops, conferences, events and/or training):

  • $700 per interpreter;

  • Includes time for the interpreters to prepare and review materials (please see the Quality Assurance section for more information);

  • Mileage will be billed door to door at $0.62 per km;

  • Parking costs, if any;

  • If meals are being provided for the participants, meals must be provided for the interpreting team.

Additional charges may apply for settings that require extensive preparation. This will be negotiated prior to confirmation.

Travel time within the limits of Windsor/Essex County and Chatham-Kent are included in the costs above. Travel outside of these two areas will be invoiced at $40 per hour of travel. This is in addition to the mileage rate.

Any additional travel costs such as meals, accommodations, airfare, standby time, and taxies, will be negotiated prior to confirmation.

Rates are subject to change without notice, however, rates are honoured once confirmations have been sent.
