Welcome to CLR interpreting. We provide American Sign Language - English interpreting onsite within Windsor - Essex and Chatham - Kent and virtually across Canada. We strive to provide a seamless booking process and provide you with the information and tools you need to make your business accessible to the Deaf and hard of hearing communities.
Our mission is to make Windsor - Essex and Chatham - Kent more accessible to the Deaf and hard of hearing communities through outreach, consultation and partnership with businesses, municipalities, employers and medical facilities.
Christie Reaume, Owner / Interpreter
Born and raised in Windsor, Christie Reaume has her finger on the pulse of the community. After graduating from the American Sign Language (ASL) - English Interpreter program at St. Clair College in 2001, she was selected for one of four coveted positions in an intensive internship program in Toronto. Having successfully completed the program, she moved back to Windsor to provide service to the Deaf community that taught her ASL.
Since 2001, she has been a member of the Canadian Association of Sign Language Interpreters (CASLI) including dedicating eleven years on the Board of Directors, as an elected director, in various positions including president for two terms. She also served several terms on the Ontario Association of Sign Language Interpreters Board of Directors, including the position of Vice President. Christie is recipient of the Ontario Association of Sign Language Interpreters New Interpreter Award (2005) and the CASLI President's Award (2010).
